Taurus Montgomery has served as the Lead Pastor of Harbor of Hope since September 2012. Having grown up in the southern inner city of Mobile, Alabama, he is familiar with the struggles and challenges facing urban youth today. 

 

From the age 12 to 19, he was trapped in the lifestyle of crime, fast money, and drug abuse that led to poor decision-making, low academic performance, and wasted athletic opportunities. Things took a turn after one night of devastation changed his destination. He accepted the call God had on his life to enter into full-time ministry. Since that day, he has completed undergraduate studies from Oakwood University and a Masters of Divinity degree from Andrews University, respectively. Having triumphed through the adversities of growing up in the "hood," he is uniquely equipped to lead and speak convincingly to today’s youth that all things are possible when you put God first.

 

Pastor Taurus is happily married to his college sweetheart Nicole, and they have three children, Jasmine, Taurus, Jr., and Daniel.
